Text Box: $48,000.00 GRANT RECEIVED

The church has been facing two major financial situations. The parking lot and the roof are in need of repairs. Each of these concerns gets worse as time passes. The church Visioning process has put both concerns on hold. The Visioning is the priority. Though the Vision holds first place in church concerns, the parking lot has reached its last year for postponement. The concern is obvious to everyone who drives into the church. The roof, the more expensive project, continues to degenerate with time. The water streaks down the walls and water marks on ceiling tiles have not escaped anyone’s notice. 2008 is time to act. The joint projects, including inflation costs, are estimated at close to $48,000.00. This is major.

On Thanksgiving Sunday, I was able
To announce receipt of a check for
$48,000.00 from the Hampson Family
Foundation. This check is to be used
to fix the parking lot and the roof.
On behalf of NECC, I would like to thank Karen Mole (Bert and Lois Hampson’s daughter) for making me aware of the Foundation. I would also like to thank Rachel Trimble for her assistance in writing the grant request.

Bert and Lois Hampson loved this church and provided for many of the church’s needs while they were alive. It is so much in their character that we would once again receive their help when faced with a financial concern. We miss Bert and Lois. I miss them a great deal.
