Text Box: Dear God,
Last Wednesday I drove to Wooster for a visit with Alan Munn. The ride down Rt. 83 was outstanding. All the trees were in beautiful shades of red, yellow, rust and tan. As I was driving, I thought how wondrous was Your creation. I didn't have the radio on, just a quiet time of soaking in the beauty of your world.
During my visit at the nursing home, Alan and I talked about old times and new. Sometimes he would bring up the contract talks that had transpired with the auto makers. It was something that was important to him all his life. He knew what was happening, but other things slipped from his mind.
I sat with him during the supper hour, talking with the three other men at his table. When it was time to leave, I pushed his wheelchair back to his room and looked out the window from his chair. The visit was perfect, but the view out his window took my breath away.
If the ride down was beautiful, the sun setting in the west was even more so. Layered clouds streaked with every shade in the rainbow. We just looked in silence, words were not necessary. As we prayed together, we gave thanks to You for friendships and sunsets. Both equally important to us.
I started my drive back home, but kept watching the sunset as the colors changed form red to purple and yellow. I have never see such beauty in my life.
My day had started in a rush. I kept thinking "life gets in the way of my living." I make plans and then something comes up that delays what was planned, and before I know, the day is over and plans are not completed.
Wednesday was different. "My living got in the way of my life," and I was blessed. Thank you God for friends and sunsets. It was a very special day.

Psalm 27: 4: " One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple."
											Love, Judy
