Text Box: Vision 2014
SOMEWHERE OVER THE GOLDEN CITY After fifteen months of prayer and discussion that included over one hundred members of NECC in the Visioning Team, Prayer Triplets and congregational meetings, the Visioning Team presented a skit at the 8:00 and 9:30 Worship Services  on October 28th.  The skit, entitled Somewhere over the Golden City, reflects God’s Vision as we have discerned it for NECC in the year 2014.

After each service, everyone was given the written version of Vision 2014.  The written Vision 2014 is a more fully develops the future “possibilities” for NECC than could be conveyed in the skit. Everyone in attendance was asked to take the Vision 2014 home, read it and then to “Go to God in prayer.”  After this time of review and prayer, everyone was asked to answer three questions on a response card and turn that response card in the following week during Sunday worship.  These responses will be reviewed by the Visioning Team and Dr. Hamm before we move to the next step in the process.

The Visioning Team realizes that there are some members who could not attend the services on the 28th to see the skit and receive a copy of the written version of Vision 2014. The skit is such an important part of the communication of the Vision that Dr. Hamm recommends that everyone see the skit before reading Vision 2014.  Therefore, copies of the skit DVD and Vision 2014 will be available together, upon request.
