Dear Church Family,
Thank you for all your love and support while Jean was sick and after her death. Jean loved all of you and appreciated your concern for her. Having a caring church family helps us get through the rough times and the healing process. Harry Hinkel

“KUDOS to Kristy for all her hard work coordinating the Pg Roast and Motorcycle Ride, with the proceeds going to PATHWAYS COUNSELING CENTER in Elyria. It is no small task to get all of the ducks in a row but she accomplished it all, except for making good weather arrangements with the man upstairs (or maybe that was supposed to be Paul’s job?) I was able to get to the church and home again in-between the rain We’ll have to ride the route that Jerry Mullins had plotted out with Sharon some other time. Of course I got home with a full tummy and a lot of great songs in my head that Logan had performed. Such a gifted woman and gracious lady to come to our church again and had to our festivities!!”
With all praise, honor and glory to God, George Butcher
Text Box: ENTER —– EXIT
Our thanks to TONI HARLESS for designing and making the new signs at the end of our church parking lot. The parking spaces in the parking lot are also marked so you can easily get in if you enter and exit the way the flow of traffic is supposed to go. This also helps with the safety of all of us, walking or driving, as the arrows are also marked to enter one way and exit the other.
Text Box: 2008 Entertainment Books are available NOW. The cost is still $25.00. This is truly a bargain. See Cindy Thompson on Sunday morning or call or stop by the church office during the week. Let your friends and people you work with know that NECC is selling the books.

Text Box: Lorain County Fair Food Booth…..
Each day when I came to work I would go check the Fair Work Schedule to see if anyone else had signed up to work at the fair. A lot of you were signed up but the blank spots kept jumping out at me. Polly would make phone calls every day then call with a name or two for me to fill in the blanks. When the fair opened on Monday, August 20th I was excited about working with church friends and seeing the friends we “only see once a year” at the fair! I had to put the “blank spaces” on the list out of my mind now and work with who we had. We would get by, working extra hard, but still providing our usual delicious food and excellent service. Roberta Balogh would always say, when we got in a tight situation, “God will provide.” Okay, where is he?
In spite of the rain and mud on the first two days, then just mud and drizzle the next day, and then three days of unbearable heat and humidity, God provided us with a full work schedule of wonderful people from NORTH EATON CHRISTIAN CHURCH!! We made it!
Each day someone would say, “How’s the schedule looking?” When I showed them where someone was needed they said, “put me down.” This happened the whole week. If we were short for the next shift or someone was arriving late, you would say, “I’ll stay as long as you need me.” Kyle Vander Schrier, our choir director, signed up to work the breakfast shift. I was pleased but a little leery if he would last the morning. With my perception of him being very prim and proper, I wasn’t sure pouring coffee and serving breakfast sandwiches amidst the smell of horse manure and mud would work for him. Boy, did he fool me. (I don’t admit that very often.) He loved it! He is an excellent “fair worker”. He enjoyed it so much that he stayed thru the next shift. God not only provided the workers, he provided the time for me to get to know and enjoy working with another staff member, Kyle Vander Schrier.
I have worked at the fair for 40 years and I love it. I love knowing that when I am there I am going to get to meet old friends and make new ones.
THANK ALL OF YOU FOR ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR AT THE NECC FOOD BOOTH!
