Text Box: Stewardship Team Report……..

Stewardship: An individual’s responsibility to manage his life and property with proper regard to the rights of others (this is according to Webster’s Dictionary). On Sunday, July 22nd you have the opportunity to help your neighbor and give by to your community by giving blood. One blood donation can save the lives of up to four patients.

Did you know:
The average adult has 10 to 12 pints of blood in their body. The body quickly replaces the blood you give. By the age of 72 years, 95 percent of all Americans will need a blood transfusion. With Cancer being the number one disease for blood use, it account for 20 percent of all transfusions.

Giving blood is safe and easy.
On July 22 we will have the LifeShare Blood Mobile here from 9 a.m. to Noon. You simply have to fill out paper work in the fellowship hall, where a representative from Lifeshare will assist you and then either take you or guide you outside to the blood mobile. All of this takes about 20 minutes or less, actual donation time is about 10 minutes.

You must be at least 17 years of age and weigh 110 pounds or more and in generally good health to donate.

You must eat within four hours of giving blood, therefore, the Stewardship Committee will have bagels and muffin’s available in the fellowship hall from 8 to noon. Our thanks to Bill and Maureen Cromling for donating the food.

If you have any questions please contact Laura Kuhn at 324-5219.
Text Box: Christian Women’s Fellowship (CWF)

CWF is resting for the summer months, as far as meetings are concerned, but we are not resting from preparing for the annual Christmas Bazaar to be held in November. Please remember us by making crafts this summer.

If you are at a neat summer get-away, ask them if they would donate a couple of nights stay (during the week or weekend) for the spring or summer of 2008. Buy a couple of CAVS, Indians – Brown’s or Lakeland Captains tickets for the 2007-08 season and donate as a raffle item. Other raffle items could be Gas Cards, buy gift cards at Giant Eagle for restaurants, or various stores and not only will you be giving to the raffle but you will receive money off your own gas. Remember all of this benefits NECC Church not just CWF.
CWF gives back to the church by way of General Fund, World Outreach, Week of Compassion and to the Discretionary Fund. We also have started a reserve fund for any Capital improvements to the kitchen or church. Plus, CWF purchased the new light weight tables for the fellowship hall.

Update on the Cornerstone raffle: So far we have received $250.00 from the sale of tickets to the church members, and $70 from Membership Team for the purchase of the Father Day’s tickets that were given out to each father……. and there is more to come! Don Nash won the tool box full of tools and candy so he donated it back to CWF to be auctioned off with the money going to Cornerstone. Bill Cromling won with the top bid at a silent auction on June 24th. He also donated the box back to be auctioned again. We will have another silent auction bid on July 8th.

Have a nice summer and see you at the Fair.
