Text Box: Scout Sunday @ NECC

Sunday, March 4th was our church’s observance of Scout Sunday. This is the Sunday in which a Scout’s relationship with God is commemorated. This is a very important part of Scouting. So much so, that a Scout’s duty to serving God is a part of the Girl Scout Promise, the Cub Scout Promise, and the Boy Scout Oath.
We, at North Eaton Christian Church are honored to be able to serve both Girl and Boy Scouting, by providing a safe and comfortable meeting place.
As the Charter Organization Representative to Pack 111 and Troup 111, I am pleased to say that our relationships are as strong as ever.
Last year, I reported that several of our Cub Scouts received the Arrow of Light Award and 3 of our boy Scouts received the Eagle Scout rank. This year, I am equally pleased to report that 4 of our Pack’s Webelos received the Arrow of Light award and have bridged over to or gone on to boy Scouts. Thus, continuing their adventures. I am also extremely pleased to report that one of our Boy Scouts, Nicholas Pilan has earned the Eagle Scout Rank and 2 others, Brian Runyon and Logan Mains are currently working on their Eagle Scout projects. This is the second to last step before completing all the requirements for this prestigious rank. Brian is coordinating the construction of bird boxes for the new Lorain County Parks area. Logan is promoting Patriotism by distributing American Flags in our area. Logan has reserved several flags for this congregation. If you wish to place an order, we have forms available on the table in the Narthex or call the church office, 748-2230. The only two stipulations for the flags are: that you live in the Midview School district and that you are willing to have your home photographed with the flag displayed.
The North Eaton Christian Church is truly blessed to be able to serve our community in this manner.
							Respectfully, Jeff Brunger
